Bush Gets a Second-hand Pair of Shoes…

Well, this is by far, the funniest thing I’ve seen in a bloody long time. The only thing that gets me is that they both missed…and it sounded like Muntadar al-Zeidi was getting beat bad for it :(…..trust me this is worth a look. Hahahahaha…dearie me. PEACE GUYS! Mitz x
Analog Renaissance BAD ASS GIG!!!
Nathen Allen, Alex Bonfanti, Dominic Dadson and Miles James make up possibly the funkiest collective of musicians London can offer. RaRa and Mitz bopped along to Jazz re:freshed this week to catch them in action. They had us dancing to some dope new jack grooves and smashing out the running man whilst Nate chucked out stupidly fresh beats. Miles Killed the crowd a thousand times with his soulful licks on guitar, Alex gave way too much flava on Korg and bass not to mention his charisma as well with Dominic, Trasher of life on keys!. Truly gifted, these brothers are always outstanding performers. Definitely ones to watch as they’ve only just begun and there is yet more madness to come out of this click. Let the Analog Renaissance begin.
Caught in some crazy groove, The dream team!!!

This week RaRa and Mitz have been on the biggest come down on the planet, forget all the drugs that have ever existed nothing beats our experience in taking part in the Ensemble for Matthew Herbert and the Big band. It has restored our faith in music and why we go through the uncertainties in life, being a musician.
Mitz and myself are both in our final year at university working our socks off but we couldn’t resist the opportunity to work with (in our opinion) the best vocalist in the land, Eska Mtungwazi. We enjoyed 9 weeks of intense rehearsals at Goldsmiths University, (A big shout out to Goldsmiths Music Dept. for allowing us to take part.) twice a week meeting up with like minded individuls to try and interpret Matthew and Eska’s original vision for the show.
Matthew Herbert and the Big Band with Eska @ The Royal Festival Hall
The Day of the performance was so nerve racking, personally I wanted to bury my head under my sheets that morning. I couldn’t control my excitement, couldn’t stop singing the songs over and over in head, revising the movements in the shower. On the train to the Southbank I was dancing like an awkward chicken trying to make sure I had all of the cues ready but at the same time I was so frightened at what we were about to reveal to all of 3000 people at the hall.
Once the show was underway there was no turning back I had to suck it up but boy was it the best musical experience I have ever been fortunate enough to have taken part in. ‘One life’, ‘Breath’ and ‘Yesness’ Songs of pure powerful meaning and when I sang them all I could feel was sheer Joy and compassion. I’m going to go and continue this musical buzz somewhere else. Catch you guys soon. RaRa.
